Visitor Information Centre and shop with displays and a base for the Highland Council ranger Service.

There are activities for children and displays about all sorts of things – including live video camera to a Buzzards nest.

Displays include “What to look for”, Wildlife, History and Geology of Assynt, information on sightings: whales, dolphins and turtles, wildcats and more. There is a relief map of Assynt now and at the time of the last Ice Age and a display about new discoveries at the Bone Caves.

Upstairs the Rangers, Andy and Roz are often available to speak and give you tips where you can spot Assynt’s special wildlife.
